Hi, I’m Ashley Matejka!

I’m a passionate holistic wellness advocate and the creator of Wellevance.

For much of my life, I focused on perfection rather than progress.  I found myself chasing the elusive feeling of having everything in life be “just right.”  I felt overwhelmed and unfulfilled and was not able appreciate the beauty of life.

With an open mind and an open heart, I turned to deep self-reflection and critical engagement. I started reading a broad range of personal development books, taking a variety of wellness courses, and studying the intricate connection between the 8 dimensions of wellness.

By identifying my intentions [guiding principles] towards each of the 8 dimensions and putting effort towards those that require my attention, my life became more aligned. Because I’m living in alignment with what’s important to me and my values, I feel less stressed, happier, healthier and more full of life.

My insatiable curiosity pushes me to research and continue learning. I am passionate about sharing my findings. I advocate more than just exercise and nutrition. I believe in self-compassion and self-empowerment, embracing change and accepting challenges, a lifetime of learning and experiencing new ideas.
